about

jenghizkhan was originally an art school mastered painter who walked around with a field microphone and a DAT player starting in 1999. There was a vague idea that painting's ideas could be applied to sound - a concept that has turned into a career for St Celfer (stcelfer.bandcamp.com) the most current manifestation of John Parker.

All of these tracks date from 2002-2006 and were released to other sites then. The other release on this page:
jenghizkhan.bandcamp.com/album/suite-0-10-st-celfers-symphony-mix-of-earcons-guillotar
is comprised of jenghizkhan tracks also from that time; then, composed almost two decades later using St Celfer's new found, low technology methods and a 4D - 16 channel audio manifestation.

Many of the jenghizkhan tracks used in '0.10' were curated by another musical version of John Parker, named earcon, on the 3 CD collection, Guillotar, and presented as a simple two channel release in 2012 which can be found at other non-bandcamp sites:
open.spotify.com/album/7KN5b6yiyJ5hP4saQiQj3a
music.apple.com/us/album/guillotar/507674531
among others. It became the source material along with new recordings for St Celfer's Suites:
stcelfer.bandcamp.com/album/suites-1-9
and similar to '0.10' was presented on a 4D - 16 channel device as seen on that album cover. The Suites #1-9 have been exhibited and performed twice on this device as pictured on the cover: São Paulo in 2019 and Seattle in 2021.

During the early 2000's jenghizkhan met musicians in Brooklyn, NY who were much more interesting than most of the white cube aspiring visual artists. Musicians had more fun and thought more wildly. After some persuasion and getting over some inhibition, jenghizkhan started playing in bands. The excitement is evident in this interview:

!! SPECIAL 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY !!

This release has parts of the albums, 'Hooden Knooks' and "Brooklyn Sucks', at the beginning with 'the noise of experiments - bits & pieces' in it's entirety in the middle. Some 'bacon' is sprinkled at the end. 'feed jenghizkhan - beef' was too long to include since it was an improvised straight to CD recording over an hour and presaged the emergence of St Celfer (stcelfer.bandcamp.com). You can find it here:

among other places.
